Deryck Whibley and Sum 41 Sign on to Beverly Hills Film Studio’s Romantic Comedy, Dirty Love

BEVERLY HILLS, CA September 2, 2004 -- Canadian Band Sum 41 (Island Records) received critical acclaim for their last album, Does This Look Infected?. Their goofy antics and great live performance will add to the comedic flavor and mood of the film. This will be Whibley’s first acting performance.

Beverly Hills Film Studios have also landed heartthrob actor Victor Webster to play McCarthy’s scoundrel of an ex-boyfriend. Webster has appeared on Days of Our Lives and as well as in the feature film The Chippendale Murders. Also signed is actor Lochlyn Munro, co-star of another 2004 summer smash, White Chicks.

Producers Kimberley Kates & BJ Davis are delighted that Beverly Hills Film Studios Inc. has assembled such a comprehensive list of stars for Dirty Love. “Sum 41 is the perfect band to play in Dirty Love, the comedic aspect of their performance will fit in great with the humor we have in store for the film.” said Kates.

Accompanying star names on the Dirty Love feature will be sponsorship from Pony Shoes and women’s fashion label XOXO. Both Pony and XOXO will provide products for Dirty Love and assist with P & A after production.

Dirty Love is being helmed by John Asher (Miramax's Diamonds, Thank Heaven, Going to California). The script was penned by McCarthy.
